			DOSCLIP - Text Clipboard for DOS
				  version 3.2

	PURPOSE: DOSCLIP is a resident program that organizes a text clipboard
 in DOS, allowing you to copy the screen contents to the clipboard in ALL (ex-
 tended SVGA including) text video modes and to paste from the clipboard to the
 keyboard buffer in all video modes. DOSCLIP is compatible with the Windows
 clipboard; it permits the export and import of text data to the Windows clip-
 board, provided Windows is active (in 386 Enhanced mode).

	SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: DOSCLIP runs on IBM compatible PCs under the
 MS-DOS operational system. To use under Windows in all DOS sessions it's
 first necessary to load DOSCLIP before running Windows (for Windows95 - place
 in your AUTOEXEC.BAT file).

        DISTRIBUTION: DOSCLIP is freeware and may be used for one month and
 distributed without restriction (but only with all of the enclosed files). If
 you want to continue using the program you have to fill out the registration
 card (file REGCARD.TXT) and send it to the author . It is
 forbidden to modify the program code or utilize the program in any manner
 whatsoever for commercial purposes without the prior authorisation of the
 author.

	INSTALLATION: Although loading DOSCLIP resident without any of the
 optional command-line parameters is adequate to run the program - the default
 values then being applicable - wider possibilities are available to the user
 if time is taken to become acquainted with these parameters.

 Syntax:  DOSCLIP [/kXX:YY] [/sXXXX] [/t] [/f] [/l]

	/kXX - set another hotkeys
		XX - copy key scancode, default - 46
		YY - paste key scancode, default - 47
		XX,YY=01..88, XX<>YY;

	/sXXXX - set clipboard's size
		XXXX - clipboard's size in bytes, default - 2049
		This size is the maximum number of characters that can be
		copied to the clipboard at a time. This parameter can't be
		changed at reinstallation.

	/t - use ANSI text for Windows clipboard
		By default, applications that work under Windows
		in text mode should use OEM text. Windows convert
		it to ANSI text, used by Windows applications.
		Sometimes exist situations, then is necessary to
		copy without any convertation.

	/f - don't install Latvian font.
		I load four Latvian letters into video memory to enable my
		name and that of my city to be displayed in my native tongue.
		However, if you feel that this feature spoils your pseudo-
		graphics or clashes with your national character set, you may
		disable this option.

	/l - don't draw lines.

 Alternative hotkey scancodes may be determined with SCANCODE.COM

	UNINSTALL: The memory used by DOSCLIP may only be released if no other
 resident programs have been installed after DOSCLIP. Should any other
 resident programs have been loaded subsequently, however, then they must
 first be removed before DOSCLIP can be uninstalled.

 Syntax: DOSCLIP /u[d] [/f] [/l]

	/ud - uninstall without interrupt 2Fh checking.
		Since disk cache programs rehook this interrupt vector it is
		not possible to correctly uninstall DOSCLIP. However, after
		incorrect uninstall, these programs rehook this vector once
		again, and all is well again. The use of this switch while
		in a Windows DOS box, however, is not recommended.

	/f, /l see above...

	REINSTALLATION: If you can't uninstall DOSCLIP, but you want to change
 some parameters, you can reinstall it. For reinstallation you have to add
 the /r parameter to the installation string.

	USAGE: If you are in a text video mode and want to copy a portion of
 the screen to the clipboard, press Ctrl-C. With , , , , Ctrl-, Ctrl-,
 Home, End, PgDn and PgUp keys, move the cursor to the corner of the required
 area, then press the Shift key to mark the block. Release Shift and press
 Enter. You can also mark without Shift - with Caps Lock switched on (when
 DOSCLIP pops-up, it switches off all keyboard locks; when it pops-off - it
 restores). To cancel the copy operation, press Esc. You can also operate
 with a mouse. Press the left button to insert, the right button to copy the
 selected block, and the center button to cancel the operation. To paste press
 Ctrl-V. Since some programs use the Ctrl-C and Ctrl-V key combinations,
 DOSLIP pops up only if the Scroll Lock key is switched off. It gives you
 access to the original key operations. The special characters (00-31 and 127)
 when input to the clipboard are changed to spaces. DOSCLIP deletes all
 spaces at the end of lines (except last line). DOSCLIP utilizes the PSP and
 thereby saves some 200 bytes of DOS memory.

	HELP: If you wish to help me to develop and distribute DOSCLIP,
 there are some ways to do it:
   1) fill out and send me the registration card (REGCARD.TXT);
   2) recommend and give a shareware version of DOSCLIP to your friends;
   3) put a link to DOSCLIP home page on your Web site, see file LINK.TXT
 for detailed information;
   4) upload DOSCLIP to all DOS and Windows shareware FTP and WWW collections
 you know, see file UPLOAD.TXT for detailed information;
   5) write about DOSCLIP to newsgroups, mailing lists and forums, where
 people can have an interest about it;
   6) let me know about bugs, problems and suggestions.
